We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter with strong employee relations experience, excellent project management skills, high attention to detail, and high volume recruiting experience with a credible, professional presence. The position is based in San Antonio and will perform a variety of tasks ranging from recruiting, sourcing, and on-boarding candidates; to handling employee relations and strategizing talent solutions with business groups. The ideal candidate will have an engaging style that is approachable yet confident and composed, exhibiting patience, integrity, and high moral fortitude. A creative thinker with a knack toward problem-solving and high sense of urgency will also be critical to the success in this role.


  • Manage the recruiting campaign through the following activities:

  • Participate in the development of necessary advertising

  • Screen candidates

  • Schedule interviews

  • Conduct interviews

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of HR procedures in regard to internal management systems, payroll, and other departmental systems, as they are updated throughout the year.

  • Know and adhere to departmental policy and established deadlines.

  • Counsel and advise temporary employees in all areas of Human Resources issues, and address all issues in a timely manner.

  • Provide employment support to business partner including; internal requisitions, external recruiting, interviewing, evaluating candidates and checking references, as necessary.

  • Possess excellent communication and client management skills while displaying the highest degree of integrity in implementing the industry's best practices (sourcing, recruiting, candidate assessment).

  • Help coach hiring managers on the intricacies of performance improvement conversations.

  • Ensure compliance within the hiring practices to meet all state and federal employment regulations and laws.


  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent experience in lieu of a formal degree.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources or related administrative function, highly preferred.

  • Exposure to high volume recruiting, or staffing experience strongly preferred.

  • Excellent ability to leverage technology (social media and internet) as a sourcing tool.

  • Must have a good understanding of the functional areas of human resources with the ability to understand business issues and strategies.

  • Ability to deal with employees and managers on sensitive issues related to employee relations, performance issues, terminations, and accommodations.

  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment.

  • Strong computer skills including managing multiple systems, applications, email, spreadsheets and databases.

  • Ability to manage high volume, high variety of tasks and work in deadline driven environment while balancing quantity of hire with quality of hire.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends during peak times of the year.

  • Clear, succinct, and confident verbal and written skills, with the ability to influence professionally and with credibility with all levels of staff.

  • Have an engaging style that puts audience at ease, while also increasing confidence in HR.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members and work in a collaborative and consultative manner.

  • Strong process improvement mindset that ensures continuous improvement of processes.

  • Critical thinking, good judgment and the ability to recognize communication needs and opportunities.
